INCIDENTS :

WONDER EYE (A.M. Tograllu), CANBERRA (Kiran Naidu) jumped out slowly losing about 2 or 3 lengths each.

Two objections were lodged by Jockey K. Sai Kiran (NAAMDHARI) placed 6th by the Judge against 1) rider P. Ajeeth Kumar (INDIAN DREAMS), placed 2nd and 2) App. C.P. Bopanna (MARKET LEADER) placed 4th, that" Jockey P. Ajeeth Kumar and App. C.P. Bopanna shifted in and out respectively and caused severe interference at about the 200 mtrs for which I had to check my mount and stop riding and again I had to give re run that cost me a certain place".  The Stewards of the club after the enquiry have resolved to:

1.  Overrule the objection lodged against Jockey P. Ajeeth Kumar (INDIAN DREAMS) placed 2nd

2.  Upheld the objection lodged against App. C.P. Bopanna (MARKET LEADER) placed 4th and ordered the revised judges placing as under:

H. NO. 7 - SUNDAY CARNIVAL                                     First

H. No. 11 - INDIAN DREAMS                                         Second

H. No. 13 - MAN OF THE SERIES                                 Third

H. No. 12 - PREP ONE                                                 Fourth

H. No. 10 - NAAMDHARI                                              Fifth

H. No.  4 – MARKET LEADER                                  Sixth

App. C.P. Bopanna was fined a sum of Rs. 2,000/- for shifting out in the process causing interference to NAAMDHARI (K. Sai Kiran) in the final stages of the race.

Explanation of Jockey P. Ajeet Kumar (INDIAN DREAMS) in the presence of Trainer M. Satyanaryana that his instructions were to sit close 3 / 4 which he could not follow as his mount was slow into stride soon after the start and due to wall of horses racing in front, he could not improve his position until entering into straight and thereafter he has done his best was not accepted and the Jockey has been informed that he is given benefit of their grave doubt with regard to handling of his mount between the 900 mtrs to 600 mtrs and told to be careful in future, failing which he will be liable for severe disciplinary action as deemed fit.
