Fire Within cried off nearing the 800 metres marker from there Corazon took charge and brought the field into view. Thundering Hooves who was racing in sixth spot joined issue with Corazon and then went on to win the race by a short neck. The winner is in line for a hattrick.

Succeeding Star did the pace making job for his more fancied stablemate Echoes Of Light to the 'T' and was relieved of his job by C. Alford atop Echoes Of Light nearing 1000 metres marker. From there onwards it was all over bar the shouting with C. Alford punching the air near the winning post. Chios grabbed the runner-berth and looks much improved since migrating from Mumbai.
